Some Sweet Day is an intimate exploration of the question: "When flesh and heart fail, what remains?” This heartfelt story follows the filmmaker and his mother, Camille, as they navigate life after the loss of their husband and father. It's a story of wrestling with tough emotions, regrets, and the lasting impact of grief.

Invisible Institute | The Chicago Police Torture Archive

The Chicago Police Torture Archive is a human rights documentation of former police Cmdr. Jon Burge’s violence against more than 100 Black people, from the 1970s to the 1990s. The centerpiece of the site is profiles of police torture survivors, most of whom were represented by the People’s Law Office, which donated its case files to this project.

The Hale Farm Field Trip: Simulating Slavery

In 2006 Hale Farm, a living history museum, offered a program called "The Underground Railroad Experience." The objective was to pretend to be a slave escaping to freedom on the Underground Railroad. As creator, Maya Wanner, reconnects with former classmates, they dissect, question, and complicate the field trip they took to Hale Farm, together.
